The first
greatest activities of ASSOCIATON OF EMERGENCY AMBULANCE
PHYSICIANS (AAHD) which was instituted in 2004 in Izmir to
perform studies on the issues about emergency service,
ambulance service, first aid and disaster medicine as
included in the scope of Emergency Healthcare Services
throughout the country, to enhance the individual and
scientific development of physicians and other staff who are
working in these services, and to contribute to the
constitution of a national model as well as the
international standards, were performed in 2005. The “1st
Turkey Ambulance Rally with International Participation” was
realized during the same year in Izmir just after the “1st
Turkish-German Emergency Ambulance Congress” which was
performed by the support of Ministry of Health and it became
an attractive annual organization in our country.
The Aegean 2008 Ambulance Rally and Symposium which aims to
spread the international standards in this scope as well as
to present to publicity the emergency healthcare services,
foremost the 112 Ambulance Service, which have showed great
improvements with each passing year and to provide a
training and motivation to emergency healthcare teams, will
again be performed by the cooperation of Izmir Health
Directorate and our association on 12-15.Jun.2008 in Izmir.
Besides the ambulance teams from the provinces of Aegean
Region of our country, also the ambulance teams from abroad
and the academic persons and specialists who are extremely
experienced on their fields will share the recent
developments in the scope of Emergency Healthcare and will
compete. In these forcible and interesting competitions in
which our beautiful country and Izmir will also be
introduced, all teams will exhibit their knowledge and
skills during day and night continuously. We aim to spread
the acquisitions from this activity which is planned to be
performed each year from Aegean coasts first to our country
and then to all over the world as a wave and we are in
preparation for this purpose.
